Named after Nan Shepherd's famous mountain memoir, outdoor clothing and goods purveyor The Living Mountain opened in May 2023.

Founder and owner Jonah Silver is an architect, and so the interior is beautifully considered and appointed; the antithesis of the high street chain stores selling outdoor gear. Besides bricks and mortar and an online presence, there are ambitions to host talks and events around the ideas and lifestyles that develop with living near mountains—servicing a growing community that celebrates the great outdoors.
